yes, it’s finally here which ultimately means it’s time for:

a) fancy cupcakes in the sun
b) strawberries on top of everything
c) barbecues in the park
d) pretty pink streets
e) grapefruit avocado salad
f) rhubarb chutney
g) and long evening walks in beautiful light

i took these photos on a little walk around the neighbourhood not too long ago. the combination of the stone and the golden window frames in the first picture is perfect beauty. but the goldy brown tones remind me so much of autumn and i am happy they have been replaced by more cheerful and brighter colours by now. green leaves and trees in bloom everywhere!

what will you be using for blog reading after google reader is going to be shut down on july 1st?
i am currently trying out the old reader which basically is like the old google reader and i think i like it so far.

i really hope you are not sick (ha!) of seeing pictures of food on here because i finally got round to get some photos developed and fifty percent of them are actually photos of breakfasts.
i seem to love taking pictures of breakfast just as much as i love eating it.

we have been a bit crazy about porridge lately. if you have any suggestions on how to best prepare it or pimp it i’d love to hear!

we constantly get asked what vegans actually eat, so we started a vegan food love tumblr documenting the food we make and eat. we did it to simply show people what we eat and because we are nerds like that and have fun documenting our food. :)

i love new beginnings and a new year is always exciting. a bit like a blank canvas to start with. even though nothing really changes from one day to the other i like the idea of a fresh start.

i’m also definitely a person to make new year’s resolutions. one of them would be to blog more. but i’m not going to promise anything. as long as cool jobs and having a great time keep me away from the internet i’m totally fine with it.

in october i did the concept and styling for a fashion calendar photo shoot. i had my analogue camera with me and took some pictures outside the studio.
i had the idea of navy ombré lips and love how it came out. and isn’t it cool that the models are twins?!

every wednesday i go for a walk with my little niece frieda. on that day we visited an abandoned airfield and everything looked so otherworldly as there was a storm coming up. the colours looked as unreal as they do in the pictures.

i’m really looking forward to see my friend mika play tomorrow at michelberger. she’s the violinist of Timber Timbre and has just released a beautiful EP with her solo project The Meek. You can listen to it here.

it’s been a while! the months are flying by…

i’ve received lots of mails how you can rent the church so i thought i’d write about it here for future requests.
and i have got good news: you can now rent the church on airbnb.

i can only recommend it and the hosts were so lovely!
i’m happy that so many people seem to be interested in this place and that my post about it turned into some kind of advertising.

yep, we slept in a church!
for our birthday trip we drove to a small village in brandenburg where we stayed in this beautiful church for a couple days.
we had the church and the yard all for ourselves and it was next to a river where you could go swimming.
it was a bit like time travelling. you had to take water from a well and heat it. we made a campfire and roasted potatoes. and it was slightly spooky at night, just as we expected.

we had a great time and the atmosphere in the church was wonderful, so much to discover and you could also climb up in the tower.

but the best thing i guess was that you couldn’t really do much but relax.
